Stacey specializes in strategic and policy issues related to disaster risk management (DRM) and forced migration, always with a focus on the protection of affected populations.
Stacey designs and conducts technical studies of industry-wide policies in the fields of disaster risk management (DRM) and forced migration. She also produces a variety of strategic analyses across a range of humanitarian subject matters. Recent projects include consulting with the World Humanitarian Summit on the role of regional organizations in DRM, leading an IDP protection study for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and assisting the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation in collaboration with the Asia Foundation to develop frameworks and standards for China’s foreign disaster assistance program.
